The Auar Foundation for Justice and Development, represented by Dr. Huda Aref, participated in the second meeting of the Youth Working Group, held on Monday in the interim capital, Aden, under the theme “Promoting Integrity for Recovery in Yemen.” The meeting brought together representatives of government institutions, civil society organizations, and young people from several governorates

The meeting was organized by the Technical Team of the Prime Minister and the Coordination and Follow-up Committee bringing together judicial, oversight, and security authorities concerned with combating corruption, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports. It formed part of broader efforts to strengthen youth participation in initiatives related to integrity and transparency

Participants explored ways to develop youth-led awareness initiatives to promote a culture of integrity and combat corruption at the local level. They also discussed mechanisms for expanding youth involvement in designing and implementing activities that raise public awareness of accountability and transparency

The meeting further discussed a proposal to launch awareness programmes in several governorates, based on participatory approaches led by young people, with the aim of strengthening their role in supporting good governance and institutional recovery

During the meeting, the Auar Foundation for Justice and Development reaffirmed its commitment to contributing to initiatives that promote integrity and transparency, in line with its role in supporting good governance and empowering local stakeholders—particularly young people—to help address public issues

Dr. Huda Aref stated that the Foundation’s participation reflects its commitment to supporting national initiatives that expand youth participation in public affairs and strengthen young people’s role in promoting a culture of integrity and accountability. She emphasized the importance of partnerships among state institutions, civil society organizations, and international partners in developing more effective responses to corruption

The Auar Foundation for Justice and Development’s participation forms part of its ongoing efforts to support good governance initiatives, strengthen community participation, and build partnerships that help consolidate the principles of transparency and accountability, thereby supporting development and recovery efforts in Yemen
